01/10/2012 Selectboard Receives Heritage Project Report

At the Selectboard meeting on January 10, 2012, Tom Mulcahy and Jeff Ling, the consultant from Evergreen Consulting who has been assisting with the final phase of the work, formally presented the final report of the Heritage Project.  The Selectboard was enthusiastic about the output and grateful for all the effort that went into it. They were reminded by Tom that the hard work now begins to sort through the plans and recommendations, establish priorities and  begin implementation. The Community and Economic Advisory Council (CEDAC) may oversee the implementation of action items. The report will be published on the Colchester town website and can also be found below.

The Heritage Steering Committee wishes to extend deep appreciation to all the people who have participated in this process and helped to set the future course for Colchester!

                   Thank You!!

Later in January our plan is to determine 5-10 specific areas based on public input (e.g., transportation, infrastructure, recreation, etc.) to focus on in preparation for a public workshop in February or March which will take us to the beginning of the next phase of the Heritage Project, determining goals and action strategies.

                  12/13/10 Business Community Involvement

The Steering Committee is looking for ways to connect with the Colchester business community to get their input to the vision. If you own or manage a Colchester business, please let us know your thoughts by using this form.

12/9/10 Heritage Project Steering Committee to Review Public Input

With the help of our consultant, the Steering Committee is distilling the input from the public forums held in December and from others. From the public input we hope to have a Colchester Vision statement ready in January which we will disseminate widely.

If you wish to provide your input, please send us your comments using this form. We also plan to more deeply involve Colchester's business community in helping set our vision.
